ATLANTA–The Creative Media Industries Institute (CMII) at Georgia State University (GSU) is thrilled to announce the upcoming “Culture. Code. Humanity.” conference, led by the renowned Entrepreneur in Residence and founder and CEO of Bond & Play, Imari Oliver. Scheduled from November 13–15, the conference will take place at the GSU Student Center East Auditorium, located at 55 Gilmer Street SE.
“Culture. Code. Humanity.” aims to create a meaningful dialogue around the dynamic intersection of art, technology, and human experiences in our ever-evolving digital landscape. This distinctive event will unite some of the most innovative minds, creative visionaries and industry trailblazers across various sectors, including media, technology and the arts to explore the transformative role of culture and technology in shaping our collective future.

CMII is excited to host a panel session titled “Educating the Next Generation of Creative Technologists, Designers, and Engineers” on Wednesday, November 15 at 2:15 pm. Panelists include CMII Executive Director Brennen Dicker, Professor of Practice Jeasy Sehgal, and promising graduate students Morgan Hager and Robert Majoch. This session will explore the latest trends and advancements in creative tech education, highlighting how educators are preparing students for success in the immersive and AI economy. The panelists will discuss the essential skills and knowledge necessary for students to thrive in the creative tech industry, along with the best practices for teaching and learning in this rapidly evolving field.
Sehgal explains the benefits of providing students with a platform to present and articulate their creative endeavors, “Enabling students to showcase their craft and effectively communicate about it is vital in shaping their comprehensive learning experience and preparing them for the creative industries.”
