Be a CMII Sponsor
No aim has higher precedence than that CMII’s core faculty and students develop partnerships enabling collaboration with corporate and nonprofit creative enterprises. When arts and media students can enhance their skills and credentials by working on actual client-centered cases, their professional prospects are significantly improved. And when problem-solving research efforts are undertaken, combining the strengths of experienced creative professionals and a first-rate research university, the economic development strengths of the entire Atlanta region are enhanced. Successful partnerships are our highest priority.
CMII can make available templated (and negotiable) contract and memoranda of understanding (MOU) language that can start the conversation when it comes to specific project collaborations. Mechanisms for collaboration will vary widely. Some may wish to partner with us by making a philanthropic investment in the Institute, or to become named sponsors for initiatives of mutual benefit. Others will prefer to collaborate on specific contracted projects, perhaps modestly at first and then more fully in a relationship that grows over time. Still others may be developing their own business models and will wish simply to incubate in an advanced technology production center, taking advantage of new equipment and the value that emerges from collaboration in an intellectually charged environment. And some who prefer to connect with us individually (as opposed to as corporate entities) might be interested in service on advisory boards or appointments as artists- or producers- or executives-in-residence. All of these are possible and in combination if it makes sense.
Media and creative companies are invited to partner with the Institute. CMII partnership commits the corporate partner to payment of a monthly fee to be negotiated based on facility use. Technology support of non-Georgia State equipment is not included.
