Jeasy Sehgal is an internationally acclaimed filmmaker and an emerging technology specialist with expertise in film, motion capture, AR/VR/MR solutions and simulations, animation, and game development. He is the founder of Graphic Monk Ltd., a multi-disciplinary production house encompassing multiple brands. With a Master's in Technological Futures from Tech Futures Lab in Auckland, New Zealand, Jeasy's research focuses on digital humans, virtual production, and the empathic and emotional responses in digital humans and interactive production. He also holds a Diploma in Film and Television with a focus on post-production from South Seas Film & Television School and an Industry Best Practice Certification from Weta Group's Park Road Post Production.
Jeasy's innovative spirit led to the establishment of Virtual Production Dojo, New Zealand's first Unreal Engine Authorized Centre and Reallusion Certified Training Centre. This center offers industry-specific, hands-on training and talent development for the screen and games industry, focusing on virtual production methodologies.
In academia, Jeasy is a well-respected researcher and Professor of Practice in Virtual Production and VFX at the Creative Media Industries Institute at Georgia State University focusing on developing and teaching the new MFA in Digital Filmmaking, Virtual Production & Visual Effects. He is dedicated to fostering industry partnerships and developing the new MFA program in Virtual Production. Jeasy's courses are known for their contemporary approach, blending real-life learning with academic rigor, and emphasizing a solution-specific and collaborative workflow in studio operations.
